Atiigo Media began operations in January 2003. Since then, the company has grown in its range of services and the quality of work that we do. We are proud to have started the company in Iqaluit and are committed to keeping its headquarters here. It is important for us to offer professional design services in our own territory, building capacity in the communications industry, and keeping Nunavut dollars within Nunavut.

In its nine years of operations Atiigo Media has established itself as a player in the communications industry in the North. A keen knowledge of Northwest Territories and Nunavut, and its issues, and extensive experience in northern living and Inuit culture makes Atiigo Media a new leader in northern graphic design and communications.

In 2007, Atiigo partnered with Arctic Sky Media to open ‘Katittut’, Atiigo’s Web Division. In 4 years, Katittut has developed a custom content management system and has over 40 database driven websites that include Territorial government departments and Nunavut Inuit Organizations.

In 2008, Atiigo began offering corporate video services and has expanded the video division with the addition of Alethea Arnaquq Baril as vice president in 2011. With her experience in conducting multimedia projects involving cultural research across all three regions of Nunavut, Alethea understands the communication needs of the north.

Atiigo Media is fully bilingual and can provide services in English, French or Inuktitut and can provide translations into English, Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun and French. The company is registered with the Nunavut Government under the NNI Policy as a northern firm and with Nunavut Tungavik as an Inuit Owned Firm.
